Eco friendly

We aim to be as eco friendly as we possibly can in every part of our business. We live and work in a beautiful part of Scotland and we want it to remain as un-spoiled as possible for everyone to enjoy. Below are just some of the ways we put that ethos into action.

Toiletries - we've chosen toiletry supplies from Scottish sources, using quality, sustainable and hypoallergenic ingredients suitable for most people. To avoid creating more non-recyclable plastic waste, we've provided dispensers in the showers for shower gel, shampoo and conditioner

Linen and towels - If your stay is between 3 and 5 days, fresh towels will be provided on request. Additional pillows are in the wardrobes of each room for those who prefer more and a top sheet is also provided should the duvets prove to be too warm for the summer nights.

Meals - All our food is cooked fresh to order so it does take a little longer but not only does it taste so much better, it also reduces waste, To help us achieve this, we would very much appreciate it if you could let us know the night before, if you are likely to want a full cooked breakfast. 

We only serve evening meals by prior arrangement for the same reasons, we prefer to buy our food only as required from our suppliers to guarantee the very best quality and freshness possible. We use locally sourced supplies and local butchers we know and trust and we try to use foods in their season as much as possible.

Beverages - We provide organic and fairtrade teas and connoisseur coffees for our guests wherever possible.
